I have been studying English for the longest time. Truthfully, I've realized that I've been studying it longer than I have of Filipino, my mother tongue. Isn't it a bit ironic? I feel that I've been a traitor all my life. Hahaha :) Kidding. Even though this is the case, I think that English is one of the most if not the most progressive language in the world. It is and will forever evolve as time passes by. Because of this, I think that there is a need to update my knowledge with regards to the language. Fortunately, DLSU offers courses that will help improve and update my knowledge in English. This term, I have an English class. It's called ENGLCOM.
Before the course even started, I think one of my weaknesses when it comes to writing is that I don't proof-read. Because of that, I usually have a lot of errors when it comes to my essays. ENGLCOM has helped me become meticulous when it comes to writing essays and I think that will benefit me not only now for my grades but also in the future. Another flaw of mine before was that I disregard some details of the things I read and so after reading, I often do not understand anything. This course has helped me analyze and remember the details more. It has taught me the value of knowing the details of something. These are just some of the things I have learned in ENGLCOM.
